June 23, 2016 – For The Face – Lieberman & Parikh Facial Plastic Surgery, will offer free facial surgeries for injuries sustained through abuse to clients of the nonprofit, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence. In addition, the practice will host a fundraising gala on October 20th, 2016 to support the organization which is dedicated to innovative prevention and intervention services to all families in Santa Clara County.
“Being able to give back to the community is very important us, we have a unique opportunity to remove physical scars or sequelae from abuse,” said Dr. Parikh.
He goes on to explain, “An injury can prevent a person from getting a job or continuing with daily activities. Even if a person has moved on from trauma, a scar or injury can be a daily reminder of that period in their life. To be able to get rid of it can be very powerful.”
In addition to offering pro bono facial surgeries, Lieberman & Parikh Facial Plastic Surgery will host a ticketed event on October 20th, 2016 at the Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park with all proceeds going towards the services that Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence provides free of charge to Santa Clara County residents. The festive event entitled, (Mis) Perceptions of Beauty in Art and Aesthetics, will feature guest lectures, a silent auction, food and an open bar. Tickets priced at $100.00 can be purchased by calling the practice at (650) 327-3232.

“Their contribution is vital to supporting our agency,” said Kathleen Krenek, Executive Director of Next Door Solutions. “We are grateful for the pro bono services they will be providing to our clients in need of plastic surgery. It is not uncommon for the survivors we serve to have the scars of abuse, and such a service will help provide a new step forward.”
