Rhinoplasty Nose Surgery, Case 50

This 18-year-old San Francisco Bay Area college student consulted with Dr. Lieberman and Dr. Parikh to discuss her nose. She stated that her nose had always bothered her and “felt attention was directed right to my nose because it was crooked and was a large feature on my face.” She hated taking pictures because she felt her nose stole attention away from her other features. During her consultation at our Palo Alto office, we looked at her pictures on the computer and morphed the images to show what could be achieved with a rhinoplasty. We agreed to proceed with a rhinoplasty using an external approach. The bridge was reduced and the tip of the nose was completely restructured. This allowed us to bring all parts of the nose into better balance and to create a more feminine nasal appearance. Her rhinoplasty before-and-after pictures are a great example of how a well- shaped nose should blend into the face, drawing no attention to itself, but allowing the eyes and lips to shine. This patient is now extremely pleased with her result, writing, “Thank you for restoring my self-esteem and making me feel pretty again.”
