This 63-year-old San Francisco Bay Area patient came to Dr. Lieberman and Dr. Parikh for consultation on how she could improve the overall appearance of the upper one-third of her face. She wanted to focus on her eyes since the lower eyelid fat bags and excess skin of both her upper and lower eyes made her look tired and older. She was a perfect candidate for eyelid rejuvenation surgery.
She chose to undergo both upper and lower blepharoplasty, also known as double eyelid surgery, with fat transposition. That means that the fat bags were partially removed and the rest were moved and sculpted into the tear trough. Notice how this gave her a smooth transition from her lower eyelid to her cheek. The excess skin from her upper eyelid has been tailored away, giving her a youthful, refreshed look. These results will last 7 to 10 years.
